Thank you for a great tool.
We have a DBCS environment and I need to PDF DBCS files that have Chinese PRC characters and also other DBCS files that have Japanese (KANJI Katakana and Hiragana SBCS and DBCS) characters. I get a CPF6DFA message.
3 -- THE DATA TO BE TRANSFORMED CONTAINS DOUBLE-BYTE CHARACTER SET (DBCS DATA BUT A SYSTEM VALUE FOR THE DOUBLE-BYTE CHARACTER SET CODED FONT NAME (QIGCCDEFNT) HAS NOT BEEN SPECIFIED. THE HOST PRINT TRANSFORM HAS SUBSTITUTED A CODED FONT NAME TO TRANSFORM THE DATA.
Our system value is
SYSTEM VALUE . . . . . : QIGCCDEFNT
CODED FONT NAME . . . . . . : *NONE

I dont know how to set this value or what I should set it to. Can you please direct me to some manuals that can help me.

I checked out some stuff in your book and it sure impresses me.
I tried to buy the book but I want to pay with a US Money Order and have it sent by the Post Office but it seems this is not possible.

I assume that you are trying to use AFP. As for AFP font, you may check out APF Fonts home page.

If you are using older OS/400, you should buy and install 5769-FN1 to print DBCS characters with AFP. Instead, you may purchase AFP Font Collection. If you are using V5R3 or later, you can use "WroldType" font which comes with i5/OS for free.

Check out "AFP application example" page for example of IGCCDEFNT. It seems like you want to use multiple DBCS fonts, so it might be better to specify IGCCDEFNT at file, record or field level, rather that system value.

Hope this helps

OK, now I understand. Basically I dont have the DBCS fonts. We use a third party tool Creat/Print for our DBCS printing. So I dont have Info Print Fonts installed. I will try to see if I can purchase and install just the Info Print fonts. Thanks very much.
