Hi,

I see from your front page that you test on V5R2 but would you anticipate any problems when moving to V6R1? These products work fine on our V5R4 machine.

And you have version numbers on your website for SNDM and RCVM, I think 1.36 and .6 respectively. Is it possible to determine the version of SNDM and RCVM after being installed onto our system? I am not sure if we have the current or an older version and would like to update if not the latest.

Nathan,

I have not tried both of them on V6R1 (but V5R4).
They should work fine as long as IBM maintains compatibility of JVM and C runtime.

Just run them with specifying debug option. You'll see the version on the debug output.

Hi Uzaemon,

We have upgraded to V6R1 and SNDM seems to work fine. We are having problems with RCVM though. We are getting this message in the log.

Message . . . . : Product 5761JV1 Option 0005 (Java Development Kit 1.3.1)
is no longer supported.
Cause . . . . . : A supported option of the Developer Kit for Java product
must be installed. Recovery . . . : Verify that a supported option is
installed properly and that your library list is correctly set. Try the
request again specifying a supported option. The default Java Development
Kit is 1.5.0.

I have downloaded the lastest JAR files from IBM and SUN and still the same. I can confirm that this JVM has been removed but there is 1.4 and version 5 of the JVM. Is there anything I could do to get this to work?

Nathan,

Have you recompiled the class file?
See http://homepage1.nifty.com/uzaemon/rcvm_install.html and
follow the instruction for V5R2.
Please let me know the result.

I explicitly specify Java vetrsion in source member "POP3/SOURCE.RCVMAIL" (see last line).

You need to change the value of "java.version" property.
