Hi,

I am noticing some pointer arithmetic problems with zlib. I'm on V5R3.
In inflate_fast() in inffast.c, there is the line

r = q - d;

Sometimes (not always) the value of r is SPP:*NULL after evaluating this line.

Is there a way to build zlib so that pointer arithmetic is ok?

I'm using these options: TERASPACE(*YES), LICOPT('OrderedPtrComp').

Thanks for any help.

KSH

Sorry, I didn't check the version when I asked the question. I think it's from 1.1.4 (Mar 2002).

Hi,

I can not know clearerly how to compile the zlib.dll ?
From one document, it says that build the vc8 project to generate the zipstat.dll?
Now the question is:
1. Where is the vc8 project?
2. How to remove the ZLIB_WINAPI?

It is very urgent for me.
Thank you very much for the answer.

martinscott,

This forum is zlib for OS/400 (IBM's business computer), not for Windows.
I recommend you to visit zlib home site (http://www.zlib.net/).
